Resources for school day trips
Please read Territory Wildlife Park's Code of Conduct PDF (399.9 KB) prior to your class visit.
The Territory Wildlife Park is an amazing location for a school excursion. The range of habitats, animals displays and locations on park mean you can tick multiple outcomes on every visit. We have created an excursion guide for each grade, Transition though to Grade 6 to help you get the most out of your visit.
We would like to remind all teachers that students and teachers on school excursions are able to enter the park free of charge. Please book your Territory Wildlife Park visit.

Can students attend a presentation
Park Guides give daily talks for park visitors. Your school group is welcome to attend these talks and it is best to advise if you are attending when you make your group booking.
Toilets, taps and tucker
Toilets
Toilets are located at the Main Station, near the Aquarium and at the Monsoon Forest (See Park map PDF (539.5 KB) for details).
It is recommended that you plan toilet stops at appropriate times during your visit.
Taps
Drinking water taps are located throughout the Park, but it is recommended that each student bring a named water bottle to avoid congestion.
This is especially important if the weather is hot.
Tucker
Kids usually need one or more food breaks during a visit. Food and drink may not be taken on the trains or into the Aquarium or the Nocturnal House. Rubbish bins are provided throughout the Park.
Seating areas for eating can be found in the Picnic Ground behind the Main Station. Class food boxes may be stored in the main station.
There is a cafe on site, which provides snacks or meals and can cater for groups with prior notice. An adult must accompany students at all times in the cafe.
The picnic area also has a shaded playground area for use at recess and lunch breaks.
